Unlike traditional home ownership - at University Heights the program consists of purchasing the home and assuming a long-term lease of the lot. The ground lease contains provisions and restrictions regarding the resale price and procedures for the homes. The ground lease structure enables the homes to be sold below market rates and enables the homes to remain available and affordable over time for future faculty and staff homebuyers.
